Kenya Hall is currently the Assistant Principal at Minor High School. Prior to this position, she served as the Instructional Transformation Specialist at Minor High School for one year and an instructional coach at Bottenfield Middle School for six years. Ms. Hall also worked at Montevallo Middle School, in Shelby County, serving as a reading coach and 7th-8th grade Language Arts teacher for six years. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Learning and Literacy and a Master of Education in Secondary Language Arts Education (6-12) from the University of Montevallo. In 2007, Ms. Hall received her Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction High School English (7-12) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has a passion for working in high needs schools, continuing to develop her teaching craft, and discovering and imparting the latest research and best practices in education. Her most rewarding experiences in education have been cultivated in the partnerships she has developed with her colleagues, parents, an community stakeholders. Ms. Hall enjoys reading,listening to various genres of music, and spending quality time with family and friends. She is the mother of two boys, Torio "TJ" (10 years old) and Kendall (6 years old).
